Worship is the heartbeat here at FBC Josephine.  What is the significance of vertical?  Quite simply, in our everyday life we seem to work horizontally more often than vertically.  In that, we aim to please those around us and make that our 24/7 duty, when we should focus our energies vertically -- or to God!  When our vertical relationship is running better than I-30 in rush hour, our horizontal relationships and obligations tend to take on a more vertical approach as well.  As we lift up our eyes, hearts, minds, and hands towards God in corporate worship, it allows us to hopefully understand the meaning and worth of our vertical relationship with God.  Through that we hope that we will not make vertical worship a part of one hour on a Sunday...but a vibrant 365/24/7 manifestation of our lives.  So join us this Sunday as we lift up our eyes and sing to the Lord a new song...not just in response for all He has done...but in anticipation for what He is about to do!
